Many years ago head brewer John Woodhouse invited his team to sample his latest creation and come up with a name for the new brew. The beer was so popular several pints of ales were consumed during the brainstorm. When Woodhouse stood up to leave he lost his balance and fell upon the name for his new beer: Tanglefoot.
Tanglefoot is a full bodied golden ale with a medium bitterness and a rounded, smooth hoppy flavour with hints of melon and pear. The ale has a noticeable floral dry hop aroma, which is balanced with biscuity and fruity notes.
