World’s first fairtrade, organic, gluten-free beer now on draught in Ontario

McClelland Premium Imports is proud to bring Mongozo Premium Pilsener, the world’s first Fairtrade, organic, gluten-free beer to Ontario. Mongozo Premium Pilsener is available in kegs at The Beer Store as well as select bars and  restaurants throughout the province.

“Mongozo sets a new standard in gluten-free beers, says Guy McClelland, president of McClelland Premium Imports. “Unlike other gluten-free beers, this lager is still brewed using barley malt. An innovative technique removes the gluten, allowing Mongozo to retain a full lager flavour.”

Mongozo, which means “to your health,” was crowned World’s Best Gluten Free Lager at the 2012 World Beer Awards. It was also voted Best Belgian Pilsener in 2010 by an expert panel of judges led by beer sommelier Ben Vinken. The brew also won a double gold medal at BIRA 2011 beer competition in Tel Aviv, held during Israel’s International Beer Week.
